چکیده

Alternatives and replacements for synthetic chemical-based plant protectants are required. In this study biopolymeric microspheres containing arthropod-derived apitoxin explored as a possible novel environmentally friendly formulation protection. Here we document the optimization process microencapsulation of into stable formulation, ready use in agricultural applications. Efficacy trials were carried out on three different beetle species at various developmental stages (Leptinotarsa decemlineata (Say, 1824.), Tenebrio molitor (Linnaeus, 1758.), Sitophilus granarius 1758.)). The encapsulated has steady initial long residual effect, due to slow release which is one its main advantages over other conventional control methods. Microspheres loaded with have detrimental effect insects, it significantly better gastric compared contact action (due pH). results showed that highest fastest mortality was obtained when concentrations (0.6%) applied, chosen be economically acceptable. These important findings contribute knowledge application development formulations, their effectiveness, an alternative eco-friendly method production.

Non-Condensing Calcium Alginate Microspheres for

The main objective of the study was to design a non-condensing polymeric microspherebased gene delivery system for targeting macrophages. An external gelation technique was used to prepare plasmid DNA-encapsulated calcium alginate microspheres. The microspheres were characterized for particle size, surface charge, surface morphology, and DNA loading efficiency. Stability of encapsulated DNA was...

Biodegradable alginate microspheres as a delivery system for naked DNA.

Sodium alginate is a naturally occurring polysaccharide that can easily be polymerized into a solid matrix to form microspheres. These biodegradable microspheres were used to encapsulate plasmid DNA containing the bacterial beta-galactosidase (LacZ) gene under the control of either the cytomegalovirus (CMV) immediate-early promoter or the Rous sarcoma virus (RSV) early promoter. Mice inoculated...

Development of Pasteurella multocida loaded alginate based microspheres

Microencapsulation of Pasteurella multocida within alginate based microspheres (MSs) for subcutaneous vaccination was accomplished by emulsification-cross-linking technique. Alginate MSs were spontaneously formed by ionic cross-linking using calcium and zinc ions, and further stabilized employing zinc ion. A mean particle size of less than 10 um has been successfully developed using simple mixe...

Immunization Against Cutaneous Leishmaniasis by Alginate Microspheres Loaded With Autoclaved Leishmania Major (ALM) and Quillaja Saponins

Leishmania antigens are weak immunogens and need to be potentiated by various adjuvants and delivery systems. Alginate microspheres as an antigen delivery system and Quillaja saponins (QS) as an immunoadjuvant have been used to enhance the immune response against Autoclaved Leishmania major (ALM). Microspheres were prepared by an emulsification technique and characterized for size, encapsulatio...
